DROUGHT– WATER CRISIS IN BRAZIL / 2016

Brazil is suffering the worst water crisis in its history. Nearly 100 million people are affected – and not just in the drought areas of the northeast, but in the mega-cities of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo as well. How can it be that one of the water-richest countries in the world is running out of water? Is it due to global climate change? Environmental destruction? Or profit interests and political failure?
The film searches for clues to the answer.
