LONDON’S BURNING – CAMPINO ON THE TRAIL OF PUNK

Scandal has been a part of popular music ever since Elvis waggled his hips and hippies alarmed society at large with their free love and revolution. But arguably the most shocking of all musical youth movements was the punk scene that exploded into Britain’s national consciousness in 1976.

For this documentary, Campino, front man of the legendary German band Die Toten Hosen, leads us through the genesis of punk. Focusing on the cities of London and Düsseldorf, Campino shares his first-hand knowledge and experience with viewers and takes us to the locations of the first and decisive punk conflicts. Along the way, we meet rebels and insiders of the time such as Tony James, Bob Geldof, Viv Albertine, Julien Temple, Chris Sullivan, Marco Pirroni, Charlie Harper oder TV Smith.
