Since the referendum on October 1st, Catalonia has been polarized by the call for independence.

When it comes to the question of “yes” or “no” to secession, young Catalans tend to be fervent supporters of autonomy, while the parental generation tends to urge caution – not least due to economic considerations. Catalonian families are literally being torn apart as a result.
