In order to be able to deliver any product in the shortest possible time, Amazon is building huge warehouses all over the world. But in France, the land of unions and strong labour laws, the fightback is already under way. The firm’s detractors say that Amazon is destroying retail jobs, exploits its workers, and doesn’t pay its taxes.
